Industrial engineer in biochemistry

Viviane graduated in 2018 as an industrial engineer in biochemistry from KU Leuven, Technologiecampus Gent. Afterward, she embarked on a Ph.D. focusing on modeling and optimizing small-scale biorefineries at the BioTeC+ research group (KU Leuven). Her expertise in process optimization and modeling eventually led her to Flanders’ FOOD, where she will primarily focus on projects within the "World Class Food Production" program.

In her free time, you can find Viviane in the karate dojo or cycling in and around Ghent. Additionally, she enjoys spending time in the garden or engaging in DIY projects in and around the house. Cooking and dining out with her partner, family, and friends are also among her favorite activities.
